“U.S. Family History in the 1700s and early 1800s – Finding Those Elusive Fathers”

Learn initial steps and strategies to identify the fathers of those born around the beginning of the 19th century. How do you begin to find a father when you have no census or other record to indicate a relationship? What record groups can provide the answers you seek? Discover the answers to these questions and more. You can find those elusive fathers!

Aimee is a professional genealogist based in California who focuses on United States research. She has been researching for three decades. Aimee’s love of genealogy, instilled by both grandmothers, has been a lifelong gift which she strives to share with others, most recently though her YouTube channel. With the opportunity to help clients overcome brick walls, handle inherited genealogy or simply build their family tree, she is grateful for a rewarding profession. Helping others learn about their ancestors is FUN and she loves what she does!

The meeting will be a hybrid meeting. The in-person meeting will be held at the United Methodist Church located at 291 Anacapa Dr, Camarillo, CA 93010 and will consist of a pot luck lunch starting at 12:00pm, followed by the general meeting. The general meeting will begin at 1:00pm and will be streamed live via a Zoom meeting. Our speaker, Aimee Cross will be at the in-person meeting.

All our monthly lectures and workshops are free to our members and the public. Non-members should request a Zoom invitation here. Please note that we cannot respond to same-day requests.
