Also known as El Rancho Simi Pioneer Cemetery (recognized as state historical point of interest in 1990) was established in 1890. Many of the community's founding family members are buried there. This cemetery was consecrated in 1892 as a nondenominational public cemetery. It is a 7 1/2 acre burial ground. it is distinguished by old-style gravestones, some handmade with many reflecting names of Ventura County pioneers. It was ravaged by the 1994 Northridge earthquake. Recent changes include grass and wrought-iron fencing.
