Introduction to Genealogy

Are you curious about when your ancestors arrived in North America? Where did they settle and why did they made the long journey from the “old country” to start a new life?

We’ll demonstrate some resources and tools to help you get started in genealogy. The program is for beginners, however those with more experience are welcome to attend, so we can learn from each other. Feel free to wear a hat, or a shawl, such as your ancestors might have worn.

After the class, we’ll head upstairs to our VCGS reference library. Volunteers will be at the tables next to the book collection, to answer questions or look up your ancestor in census records.
