Ivy Lawn Memorial Park was established in 1917 by a group of citizens who saw the need for the community to have a burial site available to people of all colors and all creeds. It was incorporated as a California non-profit public benefit corporation to serve the community. In 2012 the city of Ventura designated Ivy Lawn as an historic district cemetery.
