VCGS hosts an annual seminar in October every year that features a nationally known speaker and a full day of genealogy for our members and guests. Included in the days activities are:
- Four lectures on a range of genealogical topics by a prominent speaker (or speakers)
- Drawings for Door Prizes
- Silent auction for premiums donated by our sponsors and members (in-person seminars)
- Sales table for books and gifts available throughout the day (in-person seminars)
