2025 Silent Auction
Rules and Procedures
The Ventura County Genealogical Society is pleased to announce that in association with our 2025 Seminar, we will be holding an online Silent Auction.
The online silent auction will open on Saturday, October 11th. The bidding will close in three groups on Friday, October 17th, just before our Seminar, and successful bidders will be announced at the end of the Seminar.
Only people registered for the Seminar will be allowed to bid on items and a link to the Silent Auction will be sent to registrants on Friday, October 10th.
The Silent Auction webpage shows which auctions are closing at 4:00 PM PDT, 5:00 PM PDT, and 6:00 PM PDT and shows the current bid price. When you click on the Bid Now button, you will be brought to a drop-down menu where you can select the item you want to bid on and enter your bid. You will receive confirmation of your bid but there may be a time lag depending on the time of day of your bid. You will also receive a notice if you have been out bid but there may be a time lag depending on the time of day of your bid.
In the event of duplicate bids, the first bid received will be the successful bid.
