Wednesday Workshops

VCGS and the Camarillo Library sponsor workshops (nearly) every Wednesday morning throughout the year from 10:30 am to 11:30 am in the 2nd floor computer classroom of the Camarillo Library. The group functions as a general genealogy user group with topics across the spectrum of family history research methodology. The format is casual and includes both presentations as well as open discussions where attendees can ask questions and receive guidance from specialists. Topics are posted in advance on the VCGS events calendar.

Breakouts on specific topics of interest in smaller groups are held during the same time period in study rooms in the library. Topics include: Beginning Genealogy, DNA, Writing Group, and Genealogy Software Packages (Legacy, Roots Magic, Family Tree Maker, and Reunion). See the events calendar for the schedule . [Breakouts are suspended until we can get back into the Library.]

Our next Wednesday Workshop will be:

Dec

Wed
Weds Workshop – Lyn Gesch Follow-Up Discussion @ on Zoom
Dec 1 @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am

A follow-up discussion of Lyn Gesch’s lecture on Researching Your Civil War Soldier this month. Attendees are encouraged to bring their comments and questions.

[This meeting will be held online with Zoom and an invitation will be sent out to the VCGS Weds Workshop Googlegroup email discussion group just prior to the meeting around 10 AM. If you are not already on the email discussion group you may contact the webmaster at webmaster@venturacogensoc.org to be added.]
